TUBE MATRIX – WHAT KIND OF VIDEO?

OK. you’ve decided what your video is going to be about, what search terms you are targeting and maybe you have a script in place or at least an idea of what you are going to say and show to your potential viewers.

Let’s check out your options…

  • STRAIGHT TO CAMERA

Mostly for YouTuber type videos, selling yourself and your personality to generate enough views to make a cut of Adsense revenue a viable option – a tough road and with so many narcissists in the world these days your chances of success are slim at best.

Requirements:

  • A decent camera and lapel mic.
  • Pro lighting setup
  • Nice filming studio or ‘Green Screen’ capability
  • A video savvy friend – tough to pull this off alone 👦
  • SCREEN CAPTURE

Great for reviews of digital products and, if your Screen Capture software has the capability, you can have your ‘Talking Head’ showing up in a small window if you are comfortable with that. The easiest way to create an informative video if your script and audio are good.

Requirements:

  • Screen Capture App. or Software (options below)
  • Good quality microphone

OPTIONS

Loom – free and pretty cool – no editing facility

Screencastomatic – free, no editing, but with paid upgrade options

Camtasia – Does it all at a price

Filmora – Camtasia alternative but no PIP ( webcam screen-in-screen option for Screen Capture – but available with upgrade)

Adobe Spark – free, social media friendly but no editing facility

  • SLIDESHOW STYLE

From simple Text slides to Images and Animated Video Elements these can be highly engaging to sell virtually any product and good for promoting Offline Businesses

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of PowerPoint or similar
  • Software alternatives ( options below)
  • Good quality microphone ( take that as a given here on in)

OPTIONS

EVSL – (Easy Video Sales Letter) – text image and video slideshow – annual license or monthly license

Content Samurai –  Free Trial then monthly license but frickin’ awesome software for serious marketers

  • DOODLE/ANIMATION

Good for Ads and Sales Pages or Offline Businesses otherwise somewhat impersonal for ‘regular’ promotional videos

Requirements:

  • Well supported software
  • Kind of a steep learning curve

OPTIONS

Lots of Doodle software out there and I’ve tried them all but I always come back to what I consider the best:

Sparkol – $25 a month but cancel and reinstate at any time

  • OTHER ANIMATION SOFTWARE

My personal favorite when you have a ‘face for radio’ plus I have never seen any other Internet Marketer using these…

Requirements:

  • Well supported software
  • Stand out ‘Wow!’ factor

OPTIONS

Reallusion Crazy Talk – animated talking head software – easy to use

Crazy Talk Animator – Free version ( steep learning curve)

So yes, you are spoiled for choice and some of these tools work better than others so pick the one that’s the best for what you want to achieve online with your videos and no reason why you can’t use them in tandem with each other.
