TUBE MATRIX – GETTING VIEWS
Unless you have a decent sized YouTube Subscriber base, who get informed when you upload something new to your Channel, OR have an email list to generate views of your videos you are kind of in Video Limbo!
Ask family and friends to view, like, subscribe etc. to your video. Great! But once done it’s done. It’s a ‘One Hit’ affair. How many friends and family have you got anyway? Good to do on Day One but we need more right?
And of course if you have multiple browser access, other than Chrome: IE/Edge, Firefox, Opera, Safari then use those to kickstart your views yourself or use the new ‘incognito’ option that most browsers have.
So how DO you get YouTube views and start that traffic ball rolling?
Let’s look at some options – The Good, The Bad and The Ugly ( in reverse order).
Get Youtube views – The Ugly
Back in the day you could purchase views to your YouTube videos via a Fiverr Gig. You still can IF you know no better! Fiverr is great for tons of stuff – just don’t go there to get YouTube views…
Today? FAIL! Those Fiverr Gig views to your YouTube videos are generally driven by Mobile bots, that watch maybe 2-3 seconds of your YouTube video:
- Easily detected by YouTube
- Views get ‘discounted‘ damn quick
- High likelihood of your Channel being taken down
Plus those 3 second views damage your rankings as they tell YouTube your video is crap! ‘Time Watched’ is a massive factor in YT rankings, and so 3 second views simply don’t cut it and can actually damage your rankings.
But what if they say their YouTube views are real and not bot generated?
Fiverr and other sites like Konker sometimes promise this and yes, if they are telling the truth, then they are kind of legit views:
But this means that they are likely using a service like…
Get Youtube views – The Bad (unless you do it right)…
Vagex. This is a software that you can download to your computer, to run on autopilot, to watch other Vagex members videos and they, in return, watch yours.
You earn credits by doing that or you can buy credits and not bother with the reciprocal aspect. Vagex provide the software that you run on your computer, if you choose to go that route, so you can ‘set and forget‘ – or run on multiple computers if you want to ramp up your credits.
OR, as I said, just purchase a package of credits.
So yes these are ‘real’ YouTube views and Vagex automates everything but…
You have little, if any, control as to where those views are coming from (do you not think that all your views coming from India or China might raise a Red Flag?)
You have SOME control over the ‘time’ watched i.e. up to 3 minutes but long views obviously cost more credits.
[ WORD OF WARNING: If you go the Vagex route you can also, for extra credits, get ‘Likes’ but DO NOT choose the option that viewers leave Comments on your video – the comments look and read exactly what they are: BOGUS!]
All views will likely come in ONE day ( do you think YT won’t notice?) Day 1: 1000 views – Day 2: Zero! So you have to be smart and turn your view campaigns on and off to have that real ‘drip feed’ effect.
Yes Vagex can work for a quick hit e.g. Launch Jacking but not good for long term rankings.
Most importantly those views are going straight to your YouTube URL (more on that shortly).
Get Youtube views – The Good ( if you are smart)
‘Micro Worker’ sites such as Microworkers, Mechanical Turk and others. On sites like these you can get views for pennies and even instruct the real micro workers as to what you want them to do. Not TOO bad an option to generate a small clutch of ‘real’ views from sites like:
and give then a very specific task e.g.
“Type into Google the search term ‘lose weight in 3 days’ and click the ‘Videos’ tab. When you find my video (it might be on page 10) look for mu YouTube Use Name: [ give details of your YT User Name] click on it and watch the video all the way through.
Like the video if you want but DO NOT leave a comment
Contact me here once done”.
While this can work for a small amount of views YouTube see that the view has come via a ‘search’ request ( that’s good!)
If your video is not findable in search just yet then, sure give them the YouTube url to go view but this is not as powerful AND don’t ask for comments as they look spammy at best.
But those views, either way, all come virtually at once, or in one day ( no drip feed views). So you have to micro manage your micro workers 🤨
AND it’s very difficult, if not impossible to verify what they have done, or not done, So just pay them and don’t sweat it OR…
Do what I now do:
The problem using Micro Workers is checking they actually do what you want them to do and be able to ‘check’ that.
So I embed the YT video I want them to watch on my WordPress site(s) but use a smart plugin: WP Video Ace
Using that I can set up my embedded YT video in such a way that, once watched all the way through, they see a ‘verification code’ and their telling me what that code is releases my payment to them in my Micro Workers Admin area!
[ FULL WP VIDEO ACE WALKTHROUGH COMING SOON]
Pretty darn smart if I say so myself 😎
…So we can insist that they give us our ‘code’ prior to paying them as that will be our proof that they have watched the video for the required time which is when we will release payment….
“Go to http://YourWesiteHomePage Click on the Post titled: Post Name click on it and watch the video on that page all the way through. Once it has been watched a ‘CODE’ will appear.
Contact me here with that Code reference once done for payment”.
Yep, you REALLY have to make it EXACTLY clear what they have to do!
Extra cool is the fact they will watch ( most likely in a new browser window so they can do other things) to the end, get their code and use it to ‘prove’ they’ve done their job so they get paid. No pulling the wool over your eyes and saying they’ve watched when they haven’t.
Unlike the bot style views from site like Fiverr these are ‘real’ views that can be drip fed. You could ask them to do the task once a day – simply change the ‘code’ word every day on your WP site.
We’ve all seen a video ad appear before a video we’ve clicked to watch and there’s no reason why you can’t have your video do the same. If the first few seconds are catchy enough and relevant to the viewers search you will get views.
If you do this right you can get views for a few pennies but do take the time to research this topic to get the best bang for your buck:
